Famarliar

Marriage Ready: a six-week online premarital counselling course.

Marriage Ready is Famarliar's online premarital counselling course for engaged couples and newlyweds: six weeks, one live 90-minute Zoom session every Friday, in a cohort of six to eight couples, led from Bangalore by Pradeep and Gomathi Mcwin. The introductory cohort opens on 10 November 2026, and you can pay for it online.

Sessions run on Fridays, 7:00 to 8:30 pm IST. Local times for the Gulf are below.

What is included in Marriage Ready?

Every couple in Marriage Ready gets six live 90-minute sessions on Zoom with Pradeep and Gomathi. It also includes the Prepare/Enrich assessment for the two of you before the cohort begins, a printable workbook with one chapter a week, a recording of every session for 30 days, a private WhatsApp group for your cohort, plus one 30-minute private call with us on request.

Prepare/Enrich assessment before the cohort begins, so your first session starts from what is actually true about the two of you.

Six live sessions of 90 minutes on Zoom, every Friday, with six to eight couples in the room.

A printable workbook: one chapter each week, with one conversation to have together.

A recording of each session, kept for the cohort for 30 days, for the Friday you cannot make.

A private WhatsApp group for your cohort during the six weeks.

One private 30-minute call with Pradeep and Gomathi whenever you ask for it, subject to availability.

If you would like more private time, extra 30-minute calls are an add-on. In India and Sri Lanka they cost ₹2,000 for the introductory cohort (₹2,500 from January 2027). In the Gulf they cost AED 300 (AED 350 from March 2027).

What do the six weeks cover?

Each of the six weeks takes one theme. Week one is expectations. Then communication, then conflict, then family and in-laws, then money. The last week is faith and intimacy, plus love languages and the life you want to build together. Every week ends with one conversation to have before the next session.

  1. Expectations, and what you each think marriage is for.
  2. Communication: speaking plainly and listening properly.
  3. Conflict: how you each fight, and what you learned about it at home.
  4. Family of origin and in-laws, and who does what at home.
  5. Money: earning, deciding, giving, and debt.
  6. Faith and intimacy, plus love languages and the life you want to build together.

Every week ends with one assignment to do together before the next Friday, the same way Pradeep and Gomathi work with couples in person in Bangalore.

Who is Marriage Ready for?

Marriage Ready is for engaged couples, and for couples married less than two years, in India, Sri Lanka or the Gulf, who want to begin marriage cherishing each other rather than working things out after the wedding. Couples who met through family and couples who met on their own are equally at home in it.

Couples who come to us before the wedding often say it like this: I want a marriage that is wonderful to be in, and an example for the people who come after us. Marriage Ready is built for that wish.

Pradeep and Gomathi went to a premarital counsellor before their own wedding. Their relationship was already healthy, and the sessions still showed them things they were doing to hurt each other without knowing it. Thirteen years on, that is why this course exists.

Questions couples ask before they join

How soon can we start Marriage Ready?

Your cohort opens on 10 November 2026, when you receive the Prepare/Enrich assessment. The first live session is on Friday 13 November at 7:00 pm IST. Places are confirmed as payments arrive, and the cohort is kept to six to eight couples so that every couple has room to talk.

Is the price per person or per couple?

Per couple. ₹24,000 or AED 2,000 covers both of you for the whole six weeks. That includes the Prepare/Enrich assessment and the workbook, as well as the recordings and one private call.

Can we pay in two instalments?

Yes. For the introductory cohort that is ₹12,500 + ₹12,500 in India and Sri Lanka, or AED 1,050 + AED 1,050 in the Gulf. Message us on WhatsApp and we will set it up with you.

Is Marriage Ready for arranged marriages too?

Yes. It is built for couples who met through family and for couples who met on their own. Both arrive with questions worth asking before the wedding, and the Prepare/Enrich assessment starts from your relationship as it actually is.

Is it a Christian course?

Pradeep and Gomathi are Christian counsellors and say so. The course is practical, faith comes up in week six alongside intimacy and your shared vision, and faith is never a condition of joining.

Begin the way you mean to go on.

Your cohort starts on Friday 13 November 2026. Pay online to take your place, or message us first if you have a question.
