Famarliar

Finding your way back to each other.

You don't have to face it alone. Start with a free, confidential 30-minute call, with no pressure to share more than you're ready to.

Online, or in person in Byrathi, Bangalore. Sessions in English, Tamil and Kannada.

Pradeep Mcwin and his wife, the counsellors behind Famarliar, standing together.

Pradeep Mcwin and Gomathi Mcwin, trained counsellors and married 13 years.

Completely confidentialWhat you say stays between us. Nobody in your circle needs to know you came.

You can come on your ownReaching out by yourself is a real place to start. Your partner doesn't have to be ready yet.

The first call is freeUp to 30 minutes, and nothing is charged unless you decide to go further.

Trained counsellors, not just a couple with opinions.

We know how heavy this feels. When a marriage is in trouble, everyone has advice, and most of it comes from people who love you but have never sat with a couple in crisis. We have.

Between us we hold a master's degree and a diploma in marriage and family counselling, and Pradeep is currently studying for an MDiv. We have been married 13 years, and we have two children. So we bring both the training and the lived experience of a marriage that has had to be worked at.

That combination is the whole reason Famarliar exists. Structured counselling, grounded in real clinical practice, delivered by two people who will treat you like a couple rather than a case.

What the first call is not.

Most people hesitate because they imagine the worst version of this conversation. So here is what will not happen.

  • You will not be asked to explain everything. Almost nobody shares the real issue in the first 30 minutes, and we don't expect you to.
  • Nobody takes sides. We are not there to decide who was right about the fight.
  • Nothing is recorded, and nothing leaves the room. Confidentiality is the first thing we will talk about.
  • Nobody will tell you what to decide about your marriage. That decision stays yours.
  • It is not a sales call. If we are not the right help for you, we will say so and point you somewhere better.

How working with us actually goes.

Four stages, and you decide at every one whether to take the next.

1

A free 30-minute call

We meet, you get a feel for us, and we answer whatever you need answered. Share only what you're comfortable sharing. Costs nothing.

2

An assessment

Before any counselling begins, we take proper time to understand your situation. This means your sessions are spent working on the marriage rather than explaining it from scratch. This stage is paid, one time.

3

Your first block of sessions

Once the assessment is done and you're ready, we work together across a minimum of five sessions. A block, not a single conversation, because rebuilding takes more than one sitting.

4

Continuing as you need

After the first five, couples carry on session by session for as long as it helps. Many need fewer than they feared.

What couples have said.

Shared with permission, with names withheld. Privacy comes first, always.

“We were looking for Christian premarital counselling we could do online, since we were getting married during Covid and were in different cities. We never met Pradeep and Gomathi in person, and still felt instantly connected. What struck us most is the cherishing outlook they have on marriage itself, and it shows in their own. We’re still learning from it.”

Married during the pandemic, counselled online

“My partner and I come from two completely different fields of work, and we’re differently opinionated on almost everything. Pradeep and Gomathi showed us that being different need not always bring division. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey with them.”

A couple from two different professions

“We came into the counselling room with a lot of hesitation, because we didn’t want to talk about our almost broken marriage so quickly to anyone. Pradeep and Gomathi gently nudged us towards healing and the restoration of our own marriage. We’re so grateful to God for this couple, and for the rejuvenation of love in our marriage.”

A couple who arrived hesitant

Questions people ask before they book.

Is this really confidential?

Yes. What is said in our sessions stays there. We don't discuss clients, we don't record sessions, and nobody in your family, church or workplace hears anything from us. For many couples this is the single biggest worry, and it is the first thing we cover on the free call.

What if my spouse won't come?

Come on your own. Reaching out by yourself is a real place to start, and it is often the most motivated partner who makes the first move. We will work with you as you are, and if your partner becomes willing later, we can bring them in then.

Does needing counselling mean our marriage has failed?

No. Couples who ask for help are usually the ones who care most about staying together. Getting help early is what strong marriages do, and the couples who wait are the ones who run out of options.

What does it cost?

The first 30-minute call is free. If you decide to go further, we explain every cost plainly on that call, with no obligation and no surprises later. Nothing is charged until you have chosen to continue.

What if we've left it too late?

We won't promise you that every marriage can be rebuilt, because that wouldn't be honest. What we can say is that couples who still care enough to be afraid usually have more to work with than they think. A free call will tell you more than guessing will.

Do you meet online or in person?

Both. Sessions run online, which many couples prefer for privacy and convenience, or in person in Byrathi, Bangalore. The exact location is shared once your call is booked.

What languages do you counsel in?

English mainly, and we also counsel in Tamil and Kannada. You shouldn't have to translate your own marriage.

How soon can we start?

Message us on WhatsApp and we'll find a time for the free call. [ADD YOUR USUAL WAITING TIME HERE, e.g. "usually within a few days".]

One conversation is enough to start.

Thirty minutes, free, and entirely confidential. You'll leave it knowing whether we're the right people to trust with this.

Couples counselling in Bangalore.

For marriages under real strain: after a fight that frightened you both, through months of cold distance, or when the same argument keeps coming back in a new costume.

Online, or in person in Byrathi, Bangalore. English, Tamil and Kannada.

This is probably for you if

One of you said something in a fight that you can't take back, and you're both quietly frightened of what comes next.

You've stopped fighting altogether, which feels calmer but worse. You run the house well and barely speak.

The same argument returns every few weeks, and neither of you can name what it is really about.

Something happened, a betrayal or a broken trust, and you don't know whether rebuilding is even possible.

How it works

It starts with a free 30-minute call where we simply meet. After that, an assessment so we understand your marriage properly before any counselling begins, then a block of at least five sessions, then session by session for as long as it helps.

You can book the first call on your own. Your partner does not have to be ready yet.

Family counselling.

When the strain isn't only between husband and wife. When the whole house has gone quiet, or loud, and everyone has taken a position.

Online, or in person in Byrathi, Bangalore.

Families come to us when

Adult children and parents have stopped being able to talk without it turning into an argument.

Living with in-laws has become the thing the marriage is straining under.

A loss, an illness or a financial shock has knocked the family off balance and nobody has recovered.

One member's struggle has quietly become everyone's, and the household has organised itself around it.

How it works

The same path as our couples work. A free call first, then an assessment so we understand the family system before we begin, then a block of sessions. Not everyone has to attend every session, and we'll talk through who should be in the room as we go.

Parenting support.

For parents who love their child and still feel completely out of their depth. That isn't a failure of love. It's usually a gap in tools nobody ever handed you.

What parents bring us

A teenager who has gone silent, and every attempt to reach them makes it worse.

Two parents who cannot agree on discipline, so the child learns to play one against the other.

Anger in the house, yours or theirs, that has started to frighten everybody.

School, screens and pressure, and no idea which battles are worth fighting.

We are parents of two ourselves. That doesn't make us right about your child, but it does mean we won't lecture you from a textbook.

Start with a conversation

The free 30-minute call costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Bring one question, or bring the whole mess.

Individual life coaching.

One to one work for people carrying a decision, a transition, or a weight they haven't been able to put down.

People come to this work when

A career or a move has to be decided and the thinking has gone in circles for months.

Life looks fine from outside and doesn't feel fine from inside.

The same pattern keeps repeating across jobs, friendships or relationships.

You want somewhere honest to think out loud that isn't family and isn't friends.

“I was lethargic with life and would often procrastinate on major decisions about my future. Pradeep practically led me towards living a productive, abundant life.”

An individual coaching client

How it works

A free call to see whether we're the right fit, an assessment so we start with a real understanding of where you are, then sessions in a block. If what you actually need is clinical care rather than coaching, we'll tell you plainly and help you find it.

Pre-marriage coaching for engaged couples.

Most couples spend a year planning the wedding and an afternoon planning the marriage. This is the other preparation.

Online, or in person in Byrathi, Bangalore.

What we work through

Money. Who earns, who decides, what you each grew up believing about it.

Families and in-laws, and the expectations that arrive with them.

How you each fight, and what you learned about conflict from watching your parents.

Children, faith, work, and the assumptions you haven't checked with each other yet.

Couples who do this work don't avoid every problem. They just recognise the problems faster, and know how to talk when one arrives.

About Famarliar.

Two trained counsellors, married 13 years, who would rather help you rebuild than watch another marriage quietly end.

Pradeep Mcwin and his wife, the counsellors behind Famarliar.

Who we are

We are Pradeep and Gomathi Mcwin. Between us we hold a master's degree and a diploma in marriage and family counselling, and Pradeep is currently studying for an MDiv at the Centre for Global Learning and Development, Bangalore. We work with couples, families and individuals across Bangalore and online.

We have been married 13 years and have a son and a daughter. We say that not as a credential but as context. We know what it costs to keep choosing each other through hard seasons, and we don't counsel from a distance.

What we believe about this work

That most marriages in trouble are not short of love. They are short of tools, and short of a safe place to use them.

That confidentiality is not a policy line, it is the foundation. Nothing you tell us travels.

That people deserve honesty. If we are not the right help for you, we will say so rather than sell you sessions.
